Backend Software Engineer (Java / Scala / Cloud)

Backend Software Engineer – Java, Scala & Cloud Technologies We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer with experience in modern Java development, cloud technologies, and distributed systems. You will work on modernizing backend services, improving development processes, and contributing to scalable cloud-based solutions within a highly collaborative engineering environment. Responsibilities Modernize backend services using the latest Java, Scala, and framework versions. Develop and improve scalable backend applications and distributed systems. Migrate authentication solutions to modern OAuth-based architectures. Build data migration pipelines and backend services for large-scale systems. Automate development activities using modern AI-assisted engineering tools. Contribute to technical improvements, code quality, and engineering best practices. Collaborate closely with architects, developers, and product teams.

Required Qualifications Strong experience with Java development. Experience with Scala or willingness to work extensively with Scala. Experience with backend frameworks such as Spring Boot or Play Framework. Experience with cloud platforms and distributed systems. Knowledge of REST APIs, authentication, and OAuth. Experience working with Git, CI/CD, and Agile development.

Meritorious Experience with Apache Spark. Experience with AI-assisted software development or GenAI tooling. Experience with large-scale backend modernization projects.
