Senior Quantity Surveyor

· Manage the commercial resources (finance) of the assigned project to maximise planned gross profit through the placement and control of subcontracts

· Provide commercial expertise to contracts, to include the production and submission of valuations, claims, budget monitoring, and contract/workstream performance data

· Assess, review and mitigate commercial and contractual risks

· Support the authorisation and submission of project variations.

· Lead provide consultation to clients on Value Engineering opportunities.

· Authorise the placement of contracts, subcontracts, material and plant orders

· Provide guidance to junior members of the team

· Maximise cash flow through the control, measurement (including quality) and valuation of work, and the invoicing of customers and payment of suppliers

· Evaluate work executed by sub-contractors and certify interim and final payments.

· Be proficient with regards to technical knowledge and skills to enable you to undertake the role to the best of your ability

· Compile interim valuation to the client in a timely manner in line with pre-agreed valuation schedules and ensure that valuations are maximised with regards to values claimed to enhance cash flow for projects where possible

· Produce interim internal Cost Value Reconciliation Reports
