The Department Deceleration & Steering, is a part of the Sub-Unit Chassis & Climate. Deceleration & Steering is responsible for the delivery of the complete Brake and Steering systems, including components like caliper, pedals, brake & steering nodes, steering- gear/column, part of in-house SW development, supplier SW & total SW release, etc. We set safety first!

What you'll do

As a Software tester, you will be a part of the 93546 SW Verification & Validation team, within “Brake Modulation” system area.As a Software tester, you will be responsible for verification and validation of SW functionality for Brake Modulation in different programs. You ensure the work within SW verification and testing for added function growth / running changes / OBD / SWDL / EOL, test case definition, test case execution, test reporting, Traceability of test cases, traceability of test verdicts. test structure creation and updates in CarWeaver, fault reporting, fault tracing and root cause identification, Automation of test cases and Integration in CI tool chain, provide support during HIL rig update and maintenance, provide needed documentation and test verdicts in time with quality.

Profile description: What you'll bring

You have senior experience from the automotive industry, as well as solid technical knowledge in the area of software testing, within mechatronic systems.Including understanding of Review and analyse Fault reports, for testability and root cause analysis together with necessary stakeholders appointed by functional owners or system designers. Solve and close Fault reports and Fault slip through analysis including implementing corrective actions. Write test reports and give verdicts of test cases. Collaborate with requirement owners to develop test systems for each PSI when/if needed. Define test systems and/or test cases suitable for automation for black box and white box testing in the areas of acceptance tests, regression tests, functional and non-functional testing, E2E tests, CI, debugging at the component, domain, and complete level. You are used to using CAN / CANoe, CANalyzer and similar tools for the analysis and manipulation of CAN traffic. vTestStudio, CarWeaver (VCC version of Systemite’s SystemWeaver), Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, Gerrit/Jenkins/Gitlab, Python, C++, CAPL scripting, TCe (Teamcenter), Lauterbach, Carcom Volvo proprietary tools (DSA, CarCom, NUC) or similar. EU- / Swedish driving license needed.As a person, you work with a high level of engagement and strong enthusiasm. You work with a team-oriented approach, have a focus on deliveries and show team development spirit.You are a good team player and you recognize the benefits of working together and towards common goals. You possess great communication skills.
